Yes, Christy’s accepts all the credit cards listed below. The credit card must be in the renter’s name. Checks or cash cards are not accepted. The amount of security authorization depends on the location you are renting from and will be discussed during the reservation process. Please call for the exact amount required.

When you pick up your rental, there is a security authorization applied to your credit/debit card. This authorization will appear as a pending transaction on your bank statement. This is done to verify you are providing a valid account. The charge will fall off your statement within 1-8 days for a debit card and 10-30 days for a credit card.

Please note: When released, it will not appear as a credit on your bank statement. The charge will simply fall off your statement and there will no longer be pending charges from Christy’s. If you no longer see a charge from Christy’s on your statement, the authorization has already fallen off. If you see a processed charge from Christy’s on your statement, this means you have been charged for fees associated with your rental and may contact us at (401) 944-9800 to request additional information if needed.

For Rhode Island insured drivers, minimal liability coverage is required to rent a vehicle. Out of state renters need to carry liability and comprehensive and collision coverage to rent with us. Please check with your insurance company to verify that your coverage will transfer to the type of vehicle you plan to rent.

No, we currently do not sell additional insurance coverage. You will need to provide your own and confirm with your insurance company that it will transfer over to your chosen rental vehicle.

Yes, please call us to make arrangements to return the rental vehicle to the location listed below. Also, don’t forget to refuel the vehicle. It should be parked and locked in the designated area and the keys should be placed in the yellow lockbox at the front of the building. The renter is liable for the vehicle until it is checked in by Christy’s the following business day.

You may return the rental vehicle to the body shop when you pick up your personal vehicle. Please call Christy’s to set up arrangements to pick the vehicle up. We will pick up the rental as soon as we can. The renter is liable for the vehicle until Christy’s has checked it in.

All Christy’s vehicles come equipped with an EZ-Pass transponder (please see associated fees listed on the rental agreement). If you prefer to use your personal EZ-Pass instead, you may remove ours from the vehicle’s windshield and replace it with your own.

Please note: If Christy’s EZ-Pass is kept somewhere in the vehicle (i.e. the glove box) there is a chance it may still pick up on toll fees, so please be sure to remove it from the vehicle and replace it before returning. All tolls reported from your rental period are your responsibility.

Yes, but please be aware of the mileage limitation on your rental agreement. If out of state travel is necessary, please call to notify us ahead of time.

Yes, please fill the fuel tank back to the level it was received. If the vehicle is returned at a lower fuel level than it was provided, the renter is responsible for the cost of fuel plus fees listed on the rental agreement.
